What I learned in Videos:

Today we watched some really interesting videos and we're suppossed to write what we learned and so, that's what i'm doing. In the first video i learned that you can find beauty in everything, even if it's ugly. So that inspires me to try harder to find beauty in things that normally someone wouldn't see as beautiful.

Wow. This was one of the hardest assignments i think i've ever done....although i say that for every assignment......but anyway this was a hard assignment. It forced me to not only be creative but make everything perfect in the camera. I wanted so much to tweak my pictures! Because some of my pictures had this yellow light which would have been soooo much better if i neutralized it! Sigh.....i'm just going to have to learn how to adjust the white balence in my camera.......anyway if this was our "first" assignment, i'm sort of scared to know what our next assignment is! ^-^

Numbers whizzing around my head

The numbers assignment is so crazy hard! So the whole weekend, all I've been thinking about is numbers. And i'm freaking out since I was in the ER over the weekend and shot well lets see.......6 pictures. So by tommorrow i have to shoot 100 - 6......which is 94! And for the last hour i've been trying to figure out something that has the number 12! So i have been making a list of numbers of what i want to shoot so i won't forget when i come to that number but i should have done that Friday when i wasn't suffering from dehydration! I need numbers to get out of my head and into the camera!

And then i messed with it AGAIN and i neutrulized the rock but now it looks yellow........so moral of the story? Turtles do not look good in yellow. Oh and use your tools WISELY.

Yay! my first post!

Hip Horray! It's my first post of the school year! And my first time posting a Lightroom image! This is so exciting!

Observation: Place 2

The small little walkway passes between two neighborhoods. It's called the "Plum Patch". Although i don't see any plums. Just rows and rows of houses that all look the same. Brown and big. They all have the same blueprints and it seems to normal to be normal. The road i walk on has been worn and i see the tracks of tires made by byciclists. Every now and then i kick a rock and listen to it skip across the dryness of the blacktop below me. To the one side of me there's a big sign that has been knocked over that says WELCOME TO......i can't read the rest because it's covered in weeds. The smallness of this path is only wide enough for maybe three people to walk shoulder to shoulder. I keep looking back and hoping that some byciclist won't run me over. It's a nice little place, secluded, and a place that i wouldn't feel comfortable in the dark, but it's nice in the daytime. There are new houses to my right that are being built. But they all look the same. They have no personality. Just plain, brown, bland. Bland. Bland. That's all this neighborhood is....bland. It almost takes away of the beauty of this little grove. I turn my head away from the plain houses and look at the wild weeds and flowers that give this pathway a little personality. But soon this little pathway will probably become somebody's backyard and nobody will be able to feel the beauty of this pathway again.
